If you've ever considered a career in any field, but aren't really sure where to start, it's usually good to start with your industry skills council. Innovation and Business Skills Australia (IBSA) is the industry skills council for the arts.
In fact, IBSA covers: Business Services, Cultural and Related Industries, Education, Financial Services, Information and Communication Technologies, and Printing and Graphic Arts.
BSA helps create the training packages and sets the standards for industries. Which means that if there's a course in being a Stage Manager, or a Graphic Designer, there's a good chance they'd have had a good deal of input into creating and monitoring it.
