Results
Independent research projects have been conducted on the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge® - the event we host for high school students - over several years helping to support the belief that the drug and alcohol messages in that event are having a positive impact on students who participate.
Research and feedback from teachers participating in the 2004 J Rock? event is similarly encouraging. Key points are noted below.
The research is evidence that J Rock? has a positive impact not only on participating students but also on the school, because it offers a supportive environment regarding healthy lifestyle and activity. At the same time, the event provides an opportunity for students to develop social skills and self-confidence by working collaboratively with their peers, teachers and parents.
